Excellent Jacket - Only small changes needed
Got this jacket for the 2012 ski season. My previous jacket was a Patagonia Primo Down and I decided to go for just a shell so layering became the priority. I've worn it 5 times and first impressions are that it is bomber! The fabric/shell is a huge step-up from my last jacket. Good amount of stretch to the jacket. I love how I can layer many items under it - Usually a baselayer or 2 and then some insulation such as down. I would make 2 changes to this jacket. First, I'd make it a bit more slim fitting. It is described as relaxed fit, which is a good description, but I'd prefer it to be a bit more trim. Second, it is missing a large internal pocket for googles, etc. Overall, I'm very happy with my decision to move to Arc'Teryx. The small adjustments needed are far outweighed by the performance so far.

Sweet
Nice jacket, roomy cut, this will be very comfortable for boarding, sleeves will fit right over gloves. But overall nice lightweight design that will be fine to stuff into a pack when splitting. Fit is as described, relaxed. If you're in between sizes, size down unless you want really baggy. I went with my normal arc teryx size (medium, I'm 5'10 175lb) and it is perfect for fitting over heavy mid layers if need be but certainly not a sloppy fit. Never been let down with gore soft shell before, taped seams look spot on and expect nothing less with this jacket

f'in love it
Best resort shell i've purchased to date. Top notch Arc'teryx construction (seam work is unreal). Awesome color (bondi blue) combined with a more relaxed fit than traditional Arc'teryx shells make this jacket a winner. The "fleece" lining Arc'teryx lists on their website really isn't much of anything other than a backside to the gore-tex soft-shell so layer up when necessary. The soft-shell is amazing - soft to touch yet hurricane proof waterproofing. It has yet to allow any moisture thorough during this epic Colorado winter. Also completely windproof - howling 40mph winds and whiteout conditions in Vail's backbowls didn't bother me at all - at least temperature wise. Highly recommend this jacket - well worth the coin-
