Nice base layer
I bought this base layer for a trip to Canada. Used it all the time and it did a nice job keeping me warm and dry. I alos use it routinely when I bike in town. It fits me well (5'8" and 155 pounds). Easy to wash and somehow it took a while to dry not using dryer. in general it is a nice base layer.

Nice base layer
I live in Montana and have worn this every day for about a week now. I've worn in inside , out walking around, and skiing in temps to 12F still air, which it really cold booking fast. It pretty much reduces layering by about one layer from their Omni-Heat reflective internal layer, which is really, really nice for active sports. The material is very comfy; the reflective dots are just part of the cloth and have no specific "feel." I find that by itself, it is a not warm at all; in fact less warm than a long sleeve t-shirt. However, put a layer on top, and the heat retention qualities show up nicely. The key thing to note is that Columbia's sizing is way small. If you like a *very* snug fit, get your normal size. If you prefer a normal fit, get one size larger.
