I purchased these thongs to replace a pair which had completely come apart after only one season of wear. The Columbia thongs have a very solid attachment of the sole to the strap where it enters between the toes. The sole is thick and provides good traction, even in the rain. The foot-pad is contoured and very comfortable, after a brief break-in period. I would have listed "excellent" comfort except for the fact that these need some wearing to achieve their ultimate fit. You can spend twice as much on a pair of thongs, but you will not get better quality for casual wear.

This is my second pair of these thongs (flip flops here in the south) and I have been well pleased with them. They are extremely comfortable, stylish, and affordable. I would highly recommend them.

Best Thong Sandal - No Doubt About It
I just ordered two new pairs of Columbia Tango thong sandals, one to keep sharp for social wear, and one for everyday, knock-around wear. I hope Columbia keeps making this sandal forever. I love the comfort of thong sandals, and I've owned a number of different ones of different prices, but none beats the Tango at any price. I wear mine out because I wear them so much, not because they're made poorly. The Tango fits snugly, and it doesn't stretch with time and use. Pieces don't break, and parts don't come loose. The cushioned liner inside the straps eventually wears out with heavy use, but that's unavoidable with a soft liner in any shoe. This sandal is made well and looks it. No fancy stuff - just plain, good quality and comfort at a fair price.
