Great solo option!
I spent a number of months trying a variety of solo backpacking shelter solutions. I tried various 2 person tents, bug nets and tarps and bivvy sacks and none of them have compared to the combination of spacious comfort and weight that the MH Sprite does. In cold weather I found that 2 person tents were thermally inefficient, and quite often I felt like I had way more space than I needed. Bivouac sacks always left me with too little space and too little ventilation. Other one man tents left me feeling like I had a lot of space, but not in the areas that it was useful for me to have space. The MH Sprite takes the best of everything and does away with all the draw backs of other solo systems. I am sure there are other great options out there, but in this price range you would be hard pressed to find anything better. I highly recommend this product for anyone who backpacks or at the very least likes to sleep solo. Also I would like to point out as advertised, this is not a freestanding tent. It must be staked out in order to be effective.

Fantastic One-Man Tent - Light, Easy, Strong
I am currently a twenty one year old graduating from Indiana University in May, and a former eight year boy scout from Texas. I was a scout for eight years, I obtained my Eagle Scout and three Eagle Palms and have experience using all sorts two-three man tents in all sorts of settings - from the 17 day Philmont Scout Ranch Trek, canoeing trips in Canada, and high adventure treks in Colorado. I purchased this tent to for its light weight and was originally concerned about the space within the tent, and the amount of protection in the vestibule of the rain fly to cover my massive north face backpack. I was thoroughly impressed. Not only was the tent easy to set up (which was nice b/c I had to do it as it began raining), but there was plenty of room for my pack and boots under the vestibules cover. My favorite feature is the triangular space by the "head" area of the sleeping area. There was room for my flash light, alarm clock, knife, valuables, and it provided a cure to the claustrophobic feel I anticipated. The storage pockets also provided additional room for my clothes for the next day to be accessible. I can only see this tent being a problem for an individual that cannot stake in (i.e. camping on hard rock or impenetrable dirt). The structure of the tent relies on the stakes holding tension, especially at the "foot" end of the tent. The tent weighs virtually nothing and fit my needs perfectly.
