Really good shoes for water activities
First, I prefer this shoe over the 920 just because their nice layout, they do not have this huge "N" letter on their side but a nice flexible pattern. As for the sizing, I think you should consider buying half a size larger, in my case the D(M) width is just right. The upper mesh is really soft and allows for evaporation and feet venting. The laces are made out of a single cord that is attached to raised metallic eyelets and end in one single pull and fix mechanism that you have to pull to slide. The only problem I see with this is that you cannot replace this cord in case it gets damaged. The soles have ten molded lateral holes about 4-5mm diameter that allow the water and sand/small rocks to be washed out, which is great when you have to be on the raft/kayak and then walk with the boat to get again in the water. I've just used my new shoes for a rafting tour and they performed greatly, they dry quickly and feel right. I used them without socks because I was going directly into the water, this caused a bit of skin damage due to the skin-shoe contact at the rear part where the achilles tendon goes down to the heel, so maybe you should consider using a pair of socks even it they get soaked. Finally, this shoe is not a specialized running/trekking one so if you think you need cushioning, you will not get a lot since it would be in conflict with the shoe purpose. So if you go in a trekking/rafting adventure you might want to consider carrying a second pair for trekking with some more cushioning. I have a small build, just 5' 6.5" tall and 160 pound and feel the cushioning and balance is just right. The inner sole is easily removable for cleaning and is soft, though it has some channels that may feel strange if you don't use socks. I still have to run some more trials on these shoes, but to me , they are great, light , well built, you may run a bit on them and walk a lot, use them for rafting/wading. Probably they may also be used for a bit of wet waterfall rappelling since they also have a good grip.

New Balance Men's 921 Outdoor Water Shoe
New Balance Men's 921 Outdoor Water Shoe sizing runs too large. The size 14 EEEE that I normaly wear in New Balance shoes was way too large. Had to return and swap for 13EEEE and had the perfect fit. These shoes drain quickly however don't have the advantage of large enough drain holes or side slots that Keene H2O series hasto help get rid of sand particles or small rocks that fill the shoe when water is churned by wind, surf Etc. The traction wasn't quite as good as Keene however the advantage of full foot box coverage for sun protection way outweighs the drainage issue. Highly recommend as an all around boat shoe so you wond fry your feet on the deck and also have good traction. with normal land use the traction is so much bettter than a normal shoe that you really need to think about how you walk to avoid tripping. Highly recommend this shoe for fishing from shore when you must navigate rip-rap and moss covered rocks.

Great shoe but
These shoes are very comfortable (I own 3 pair). I use them for fishing and kayaking and wading in the water. The only thing is the tongue slides to the side, way over to the side, so your foot will get sunburned if you don't have sunscreen on it. They need some kind of loop to keep it in the middle. I am hoping they read these reviews.
