Search is finally over!
After an exhaustive search for the perfect soft shell, I've finally found it. Other jackets in my search included the OR Credo, Patagonia Simple Guide and Marmot Kingpin. Paired with my REI Muir Woods fleece as a base layer, the Eternal is exactly what I was looking for. Top notch construction (as always) by OR and I learned that I can't live w/o the iPod slot in the top front pocket. Another Eternal plus is the length of the sleeves - they are just the right size - I'm between 5'11" and 6' - 185 lbs. The sleeves on the Credo were about 1.5" too long, even though it was a Large too. For the price, this is a no brainer!

Nice jacket
+quality lining +headphone pass-through on chest pocket +quality (single, not double) stitching +zipper seal is even of notable quality +-waist taper caters to larger individuals (I am 6' 175lb 31"w and the large looks a little bulky on me, but mediums have short sleeves)

Good Layering Piece
Its kinda closer fitting and is tapered, good jacket. Would go good with Cap 3 shirt in 30 degree weather.
