Great fit and wind resistance
I have been looking for a hat that covered my ears and yet was windproof and not bulky. This hat is for my husband who is very picky about hats. He loves it and I love the look of it too. The fit was just right. I bought the earband too and love its coverage and windproofness. A definite keeper. I highly recommend this hat.

High quality
Very warm in cold windy weather. I bought this hat to wear under a hard hat. True to size and fits well. Covers the ears and lives up to the name. Windstopper. I own other products by Outdoor Reasearch. I would purchase this product again.

Good Hat (somewhat flawed ears flaps)
Unfortunately (for OR) I have to agree with the previous reviewer. I normally wear an OR medium size hat and I tried this one is a S/M which was way too small. I returned it for the L/XL and it is just slightly too large but still works well for most of my head. Where it falls short is in the design around the ears. The fabric just kind of sits loosely close to the ears such that any wind coming toward your face will bite your ears quickly. Works great or side winds though. ;-) Maybe this is just a sizing problem that wouldn't happen if OR offered more than two sizes. One night I wore it out in single digits with gusty winds for about 90 minutes. My head stayed toasty as long as my jacket hood was up but the bottoms of my ears got cold fairly quick when I pulled the hood back. Bummer.
