Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Jacket

A mountain and life-style classic, the Men's Nano Puff Jacket from Patagonia earns an overwhelming thumbs-up for versatility, surprising warmth and terrific all-around performance in a superlight, no-frills package. It's weather-resistant enough to wear as an insulated shell in a dense snowstorm, trim enough to pull on for chilly days spent on the rocks, and warm enough for spring days spent slope-side. The wind-blocking, moisture-shedding DWR (durable water repellent) finished 100% all-recycled polyester shell (1-oz 15-denier) sheds the elements effortlessly and can be worn on its own or as a midlayer. Low-bulk, hydrophobic, highly compressible PrimaLoft One (60 g) traps heat with remarkable efficiency even when wet and packs down to practically nothing to stuff into a single chest pocket for easy transport. The deep front zipper allows for easy ventilation while the dual adjust drawcord hem keeps the elements out and the warmth in. Made of recycled materials and through environmentally conscience means, the Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket for men is recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

Great Layer
I moved to Kazakhstan last Fall and have been wearing the Nano Puff with a Gortex shell. It is perfect for outdoor activities down to about 32F. The construction and fit are exactly as expected. The high cut arms are perfect for all sorts of outdoor activities as they do not restrict my movement. Buy one!!!! You won't be disappointed!

Great fall jacket or base layer
I mainly use this jacket as a base layer to my gore-tex ski shell. This jacket is unbelievably warm. The only down fall would be that its not very wind resistant. That is why it is best to pair with an outer shell in harsher weather. This jacket is so so so so light and very easily packable. Perfect to take hiking! I have treid some of the heavier down patagonia jackets and find they are a bit too warm for Pennsylvania winters. I find the nano to be just the right amount of warmth for very little bulk. I have this jacket in both the hooded and non-hooded version. They are both great. The hooded version fits well over a helmet. The only reason I have good quality instead of excellent is that I noticed (after many wears and washes) that some of the treading is coming a bit loose, but no big deal. I also wash this jacket quite often on delicate and hang drag it :)

Wear this all the time!
If you are looking for the most comfortable, easy-to-wear, jacket, this is it! True to Patagonia quality, this jacket is top notch in workmanship, style and practicality. I wear it in both the back and front country all the time. It is a perfect "layering layer" and can therefore be worn year round no matter what climate you live in. The packability and fashionability makes it great for travel. As a woman with a slim build and narrow hips (5'7", 128 lbs), I chose the men's size XS and really like the trim fit. Do not pass this one up!
