Patagonia Women's Guide Jacket

Extremely durable, stretchy and breathable, the 4-way-stretch polyester double weave allows for an excellent fit while resisting wind, water and snow. A chamois lining on the collar, chin guard and wind flap complements the soft, brushed interior for next-to-skin comfort. The regular-coil center-front zipper with DWR (durable water repellent) finish, three external pockets, articulated arms, a drawcord hem and self-fabric cuff tabs round out the details. The Guide Jacket is recyclable through the Common Threads Recycling Program.

The Best Softshell
My wife and I love the Guide Jacket for year round use in the Rockies. However, we purchased the jacket primarily for outer layer use in aerobic winter pursuits (long-distance running, snowshoeing, etc.). The sizing, features and gender-specific fit of the Guide Jacket are superb. The jacket has a stylish and generally trimmer fit, but is roomy enough to accommodate both base and mid-layers (even with zip-neck). The material is nice and stretchy, has decent resistance to wind and light precip, and strikes a good balance between warmth and breathability. With appropriate layering, we found the jacket to be comfortable within a large temperature window. We've worn it in temps as cold as 0 deg F and have tossed it over a t-shirt on 60 deg F days. It a nutshell- perfect. Definitely worth the $$$.

Great Jacket!
This jacket is great! It is roomy enough but still a slim shape on body. It is warm and the outer material drapes nicely. Great jacket for fall and spring weather, but can be warn under a shell in the winter.

Great Jacket
It has plenty of room to layer underneath. Great color of blue.
