Great Light weight Jacket
I bought this jacket to use as a wind breaker. One of the biggest features I was looking for was great visibility. This jacket does just that. Pretty close to lookin directly at the sun..Just what I wanted. Hopefully I will be seen by the drivers on their cell phones now... Must wear layers underneath for warmth. Order a size larger than you normally wear...ride on!

great basic to have
I purchased this for my husband and he loves it, can layer below for cold days or wear above his jersey for spring-like weather and stow away easily.. he's 6'3" and 165 lbs, the XL fit him great. Despite the thin feel, seals in the warmth

Love it!
I am adding clothes for my new hobby of bicycling as I go through each season now. It was time for something to block the wind. I wouldn't say it was that cold yet (late September), but the cold wind was becoming a problem in the morning. This jacket is great. I have PI shorts that have been good to me so I tried this jacket. I am tall and thin (6'3", 180lbs), with a 34-35" sleeve length. I would normally wear a L, but was able to try on the XL in a store and it was perfect. Not a spandex fit, but not baggy either. It fit my body and I still have room for a layer or two underneath (like a long sleeved underlayer or a 100 weight fleece ...or both). And the sleeve and back length are very good. The garment seems to be just as nice as any other Pearl Izumi products I have or have seen. This jacket was cheaper and seemingly a better finish than some of the competition I looked at that were made out of ripstop nylon (the same thing my parachute is made out of). And the beauty of a shell like this is you can take it off and stuff it just about anywhere you have a pocket if the weather warms up. It is thin and light but perfect for the task at hand. I didn't buy it for (and haven't tried it in) the rain though. The color makes me feel more secure on the roads too. I live and ride in Manhattan and I want as much impact deterent as I can get. The blue looked nice too but In the end I chose the day-glo for visibility. I've only had the jacket for a few weeks, but I love it. I will be looking at other PI products like softshells as the next season gets a little closer. Thumbs up!!
