Nylon canvas is hard to find...great pant!
Just what I was looking for. Great hiking pant...cotton bad, nylon good! The pant fits loose enough to layer fleece and a base layer. I'm going to order another pair.

Great multi-purpose trousers
I bought a pair of Royal Robbins Billy Goat hiking shorts for my husband last summer and he loved them. So I got him the trousers as well-- which are perfect for hiking, riding and travel, plus also look good for going out to dinner, etc. afterwards. We like to travel without checking luggage, and take BMW motorcycle trips with limited space for packing clothes. These pants take minimal space, are light-weight and still look good after being crunched in a side saddle on the bike. Great multi-purpose pants! The fabric is woven, so a little more substantial than the fabric of other performance pants, but still wicks away moisture & dries quickly. Also fits nicely.
