Have gone through so many kinds of slippers in my life it isn't funny but these have them all beat, feet down! Soon as you put them on your feet stay warm but not hot, they wick away sweat even if you take a break by the fireplace so your socks aren't soggy. The outer shell doesn't need any spray on protector; water, snow and slush just run off. Standing for long periods my back and feet don't feel it, there is a slight support not mentioned in the design which makes them super for around the house on a cold day. The soles have great grip but don't track dirt from outside one good swipe on a rug won't cure. Size is a little larger than chart but gives room for thicker socks, wear a 6 ordered Small and need to wear light socks so they won't slip off. Only downside is the back, snow or water will get your heels wet but they are easy to slip on/off without a fight. Highly recommend and ordered for my 84 yr old parents who love them as well and need grip without slip!
