Description - This byway's stunning singularity is the Presidential Range. This range (part of the White Mountains,) serves as a backdrop at times, and at other times, looms as you round curves (as on route 2). Pinkham Notch, a high mountain pass, elicits even more natural spectacle.

The Presidentials cradle cozy New England villages and pedestal the Wildcat Mt. Ski Area.

On a clear day you can see the smoke rising from the Cog Railway as it heads up the western side of Mt. Washington.

Directions from :

• The route begins in Littleton and follows NH 116 north to Whitefield.
• From Whitefield, it follows US 3 north to Lancaster.
• The byway then takes route 2 through Jefferson and then Randolph.
• You get back onto NH 16 and go south through the heart of Pinkham Notch.
• You may want to drive the Mount Washington Auto Road (fee charged).
• The next step is to turn west on US 302 into the city of Bartlett.
• The route then swings back towards Littleton.
