Description - In the northeast corner of Iowa, travelers will find a scenic road that winds all the way through Allamakee County. This byway zigzags through terrain as varied as the directions of the road. Travelers will pass farmland, forests, valleys, and limestone outcroppings near the Mississippi River areas.

Directions from : This 100 mile route takes travelers through the northeast corner of Iowa following several county and state roads. Althought most of the roads are paved, sections of the road are gravel at this point in time. Driving the Byway Begin the route in the southwest end of the county in Postville From Postville, take county road B38. Continue on B38 until you reach county road X16. Sections of this road are gravel. After traveling on X16, take county road X26. Sections of this road area gravel. The road will meet with state road 76 and continue on 76 for a short section. The byway then continues on county road B25 until it reaches Harpers Ferry. From Harpers Ferry take county road X52. Sections of this road are gravel. The road will then meet with county road A52 and continue on this road until it reaches the community of Waukon. From Wakon, take state route 9 to Churchtown. From Churchtown, continue on state route 9 to Lansing. From Lansing, take state route 26 until the road meets county road A26. The road continues on A76 until it reaches state route 76 where the byway ends.
