Description - This State Beach consists of 95 acres along the northern shores of Monterey Bay, south of Santa Cruz. New Brighton State Beach features a campground, picnic areas, swimming, fishing and a nearby forest of Monterey pine. The camping area is on a bluff overlooking Monterey Bay.

The beach is south of the town of Capitola on the northern shores of Monterey Bay. The park can be accessed from the New Brighton/Park Avenue exit of California State Highway 1.
