Report: I saw 8 moose, during 3 day stay along moose alley route 3, Kayaking the connecticut lakes was enjoyable. Even four the fourth of july weakend there were only a few people. Most people get in their vehicles and drive along route 3 in the evening for moose watching. A great place a Friend and i will be going again third weekend in September. If you like solitude, this is the place you can even hike along the trail to fourth connecticut lake, the only way to it, more of a swampy area than a lake the very beginning of the mighty connecticut river, When hiking this trail you can be in US & Canada at the same time. Trail starts at the US customs area out of all places.
