General Information

Description - Owned and operated by the State of New Hampshire, this State Marina offers boating amenities for the saltwater enthusiasts. In addition to fuel, boat launching and restrooms, this marine offers a well-stocked tackle shop, commercial fishing operation, a charter fishing operation and whale watching tours. There is a fee associated with the services.

Attractions - Located adjacent to Hampton Beach State Park this State Marina along US 1A is a great place for boaters and fishermen wanting access to the sea. The entire area, including the swimming beach and picnic area, encompasses 50 acres.

Recreation - Hampton State Marina offers boat launching facilities, tackle shop, restrooms, refreshment area, gasoline sales, a charter fishing operation as well as whale watching tours. Park and launch fees range from $5.00 to $11.00. The marina is open weekends beginning in mid-May through mid-June and daily from mid-June through Labor Day.

Climate - Winter can be cold with average temperatures ranging around 19 degrees Fahrenheit. The cold temperatures humidity bring heavy, water-laden snow to all parts of the state. Spring begins in mid-March and lasts through May. This time of the year is referred to as mud season in the mountains. The sugar is flowing early in the season and wild flowers bloom toward the end of it. Summer is the busiest season of the year for the tourism industry. This is an excellent time to travel, mountain roads are open and most of the mud has dried. Average summer temperatures range around 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Fall brings the leaf lookers to see the spectacular colors of the deciduous trees. Expect to see bus loads of people enjoying the crisp fall New England weather.

Location - The park is located along the shores of the beautiful North Atlantic Ocean on US 1A.
