Description - The Utah State Park system consists of 27 recreation parks, ten heritage parks and eight scenic parks. Recreation parks focus upon the state's lakes and reservoirs; heritage parks highlight historic sites used by native people and European descendants; and scenic parks protect the unique landscapes of the state. These properties highlight sites of significance in the evolution of the state naturally, economically and politically.
