Although the drive is long, this is my favorite camping getaway! I've been three times with my husband, dog, and other family members, and we love it...it's the best place to get out of the L.A. heat in the summer, and the locals are so friendly. Definitly a peaceful getaway!

We did not experience the 'world-class' birdwatching that this area is reported to have.
