This park has an excellent off-leash dog park. It is a big (unfenced) area with a pond and creek (which is very low right now). Friendly dog owners and lots of room to run. Nice trails for humans to walk also. I have also enjoyed the bike paths in the rest of the park. Riding by deer and wild flowers in summer. Be careful if you park your car in an out of the way place. I saw two cars that had been broken into during the week. Don't leave anything in your car.

This is a great campsite for families and is highly accessable to wheelchairs. My family usually goes 3-4 times per year. Sometimes it gets roudy, but the park rangers take care of that pretty well. Working showers (warm!) and flushing toilets are a plus. We enjoy ourselves every time. The swim beach is great, but fishing has never been real great for us. If you have kids this is the place to go!

Just visiting and staying at Radisson SouthEast. One block from hotel and great walking surface. 12 miles for hike or bike. Plenty of cordial bikers. Enjoyed scenery, birds are there. Usual gear for visitors, sunscreen, lip balm and water bottle. Enjoy!

I am a wakeboarder and this lake has to be the worst that I have came accross. there is an area that you have to pull in and it takes you right along the swim beach. this is filled with jet skis, boaters, tubers, fishing boats, sail boats, not to mention Kayaks and asorted other crafts. The rangers on the lake 2 boats dont really care that there is no rhyme or reason to the madness that is the desinated ski zone ... unless your out of it.. but they are very busy chaseing beach balls and other stuff that is being blown off of the swim beach ... Just for fun i took my boat and was doing loops and figure 8's right in front of the rangers boat... thinking that i would stir some interest in them .. no they were to involved it policeing beach balls... so advice ... you must stay in the ski zone... the ski zone is a mad house ... Rangers dont mess with you unless your out of the ski zone.. Jetskis are like knats... things to bring blow dart gun... ;)

Great place if you have a boat. But the campground is like camping in somebodys backyard.
