We didn't camp in the campground but checked it out for future reference, and we will definately go back! Large campground was fairly empty when we went through during the week. We hiked around the lake with our two kids(under the age of 5) and enjoyed the walk. It gets sunny on the North end, I'd go that way first! Nice place for a day hike and a picnic.

Very peaceful as advertised. Campsites are nicely spaced. Most you have to walk down a ways to get to picnic tables and tent sites. Very popular on weekends. Make reservations on weekends. All sites shaded. Saw a mountain lion! Beautiful! I will return to this park! PS: the cutthroat trout are BIG!
