Colorado Lakes & Reservoirs - The lakes and reservoirs included in this list range from small mountain lakes surrounded by snow capped peaks, to large reservoirs with beaches and boating facilities.
Colorado State Parks - Colorado is world renowned for natural beauty and outdoor recreation. Visiting Colorado's state parks is an excellent way to gain access to the natural environment and the recreation opportunities created by it.
Montrose Area - Montrose lies in the fertile Uncompahgre River Valley. This area was once used by Ute Indians for farming and hunting. Today it serves the many ranchers and recreationists that use the surrounding terrain.
Ouray Area - This small town known as the 'Little Switzerland of America,' was named for the Southern Ute Chief, who tried to negotiate with the U.S. Government as it pushed his tribe on to a reservation.
Telluride Area - The small ski town (population 1,400) of Telluride began as a supply town for area silver mines during the 1870s. It's bloomed into a destination resort with world class recreation opportunities.
