Just returned from camping at Grayton Beach State Park yesterday and did not want to leave! The beach there is incredibly beautiful. My children had never been to the Florida panhandle and were in awe of the crystal clear water and white sand. Definitely want to go back. Great places to eat are Village Market in Seagrove (a little grocery store with a restaurant in the back, at blinking light in Seagrove, right past Seaside. Great food.) Also, Piccolo's The Red Bar in Grayton Beach. Great food and lots of it but they don't take credit cards, just cash or check, and no separate checks for big groups. Go very early as the wait at 5:20 was already an hour. Very popular place.

We've camped in FL state parks for the past 16 years. Nearly every year we visit Grayton. We enjoy the quiet, being able to bicycle in and out of the campground. A screen tent for extra shade is very helpful at this park. A very early beach walk one year provided a lifetime memory of watching two large porpoise (dolphins?) feeding in the surf!
