I camped out at Long Key from August 8-11 and it was honestly the worse camping trip I've ever been on. It smelled like rotten eggs and there were dead horseshoe crabs on the beach. Speaking of beach there was 8 feet of seaweed washed up. I didn't see any white sand unless I walked 100 yards out into the ocean. The pictures are misleading and there was no shade or pavillions. The bad part about it is I took a tarp and tied it to a tree to provide my family with some shade and the park management told me I was not allowed to tie anything to the trees.
