Toughest part was finding a campsite that was relatively level. I agree with other review that they are a little crowded together. The town is not large enough to support a rental car agency, so we camp in our motor home without transportation other than bicycles. The lodge & restaurant was very convenient and the food so/so. We walked to the golf course & enjoyed it a great deal, although it does seem to be somewhat of a hang out for locals. The snack bar is an experience on it's own, but I didn't care for the chicken salad. I'm looking forward to returning next week.

One of the greatest state parks in all of America. There is something here for everyone.

Ocmulgee? Try Old Crappy! This place is no longer a state park and it shouldn't appear on wildernet! This place is so commercialized that the "primative" campsight looks more like a parking lot! They only have one real campsight! This place is way too crowded to have a fun family outing or a retreat unless one can get the pioneer campgound
