Last June we took a trip to Va., and as we passed Natural Tunnel State Park we saw a sign: 'Pickin' In The Park'. Being musicians, we checked it out and were most pleased to be able to sing and play at their beautiful ampitheater. It was a highlight of our trip and the park was beautiful. It was thrilling to see a coal train emerge from the natural tunnell in the side of the mountain. We plan to return soon!

Blue Ridge Highlands Travel Region - The Blue Ridge Highlands includes seven State Parks, a National Forest, a natural area preserve, two scenic byways and access to the Appalachian Trail.
Bristol / Abingdon / Marion Area - This is a beautiful mountainous area and was much traveled by pioneers during the 1800's. Bristol is created with being the birth place of country music. Folk arts and crafts are a main attraction.
