Fayetteville Area - Fayetteville is located in the southern Piedmont area of the state offering a pleasant environment for many of our nation's military personnel. It is home of Fort Bragg Army Base and Pope Air Force Base. Fort Bragg boasts a population of over 60,000 individuals while Pope Air Force Base has a peacetime population of over 6,500 people. It was settled in the 1730's and became a military town during World War I. It also has Revolutionary and Civil War history.
North Carolina Lakes & Reservoirs - The lakes and reservoirs in North Carolina range from huge reservoirs to small lakes. Many of the lakes are surrounded by campgrounds, picnic areas and trails. Some of the larger lakes have State Parks along their shores while others fall within the National Forest lands.
Piedmont Region - Located in the center of the state, this historically rich area once dominated by tobacco fields has been transformed into one of the East Coast's most dynamic new industrial mega centers.
