Camped near small beach, open views (more wind)with brother, sister-in-law and their two boys ages 3 and 5. Boys loved the red spotted newts, the bullfrogs and loons (mother with two babies -pretty tolerant of us in the kayak if quiet and slow moving). Fishing was good-caught and released several pickerel. Saw huge "tame" largemouth bass underwater. Also pitcher plants everywhere in bloom plus hordes of dragonflies. Accompanied at campsite with pair of yellow-bellied sapsuckers and many black flies.

Very quiet, secluded. An excellent choice if you want a remote camping experience. No showers, no lean tos... just you and the pond. We saw ducks, geese, herons, and were lulled to sleep at night to the sounds of loons. Do bring lots of bug repellent - gnats were heavy. Park staff is excellent! Highly recommended!
