I don't know if they were gypsy moths or not- but we were covered in worms. There must of been millions of them. The ground was moving with them- worse, they were dropping thier poo from the trees above- it was raining down caterpillar feces the entire time- like rain- we could hear it day and night. You could not hold a cup for a sec or it would have tons of the feces in it- set down a cooler, chair or your foot and within moments it would be crawling with worms. It was the horrible! Plus one of the bathrooms was not working so the one close to us was over used. There was no soap and it was quite dirty. BUT we were close to the beach and that was great. Clean up the bathrooms and work on the moth problem and it would be a great place.

Reservations at this and all NYS parks are horrid. Being a handicapped person I cannot believe that with all these acres--not one campsite is available. Booking a reservation through a Florida based company is a scam and a reflection on how NYS once again jolts the public. Thank You for nothing !!

A brisk day in late march, but perfect sun and skies. very few people at midday. deer not far inside the entrance. beautiful beach with a large amount of enormous boulders. atop some trails on the bluff offer what must be some of the cheapest and best views of the eastern long island sound. it must be very close to some of the higher elevations on the island.

This was my second trip to Wildwood, but deffinitely not the last. I was so sad when it was time to leave, Wildwood has indeed a token of nostalgia and when your'e taking in the beauty of nature it is absolutely magnificent. The kids had a trail down to the beach they called the Hobbit trail. There were deers in the woods. All in all it was a great trip and lookiong forward to going back soon.
