My family,3 children, husband and dog had a wonderful time. We rented a boat and everyone was so nice and helpfull. We loved the rv camping area and will return in the future.

I loved Occoneechee State Park. The pictures on the web didn't do justice to this park at all. I had to plan a hike for a church group. I didn't even consider this park because of the pictures and the length of the hiking trails. My husband convinced me to just go and take a look. I am sure glad I did. It was so beautiful, it was breath taking. We took the Plantation trail. It was so pretty, and very informative. They also have a new 15 mile multi purpose trail that we plan on doing our hike on. The camp sights are all graveled in and are so clean. The only thing I am disappointed in was the prices of renting the canoes during the week, and the limited canoes they had. They only have three. Not so good for group outings. Our trip will be a great one I am sure!! Daylene Wolf Chesapeake,VA 6/01
