Beaver Creek State Park is probably the most beautiful and scenic regions in Eastern Ohio. It offers many satisfications to all adventurous people. Trails are available for hikers, mountainbikers, and even horseback riders. Free climbers and extreme hikers will have plenty of fun challenging some of the steep hills. Historians will love seeing the remains of 19th century structures scattered throughout the park, including mills, canals, and foundations of homes and buildings.
There are 16 miles of hiking trails, but it is more fun for extreme hikers to go off the trail and conquer and explore the terrain, ranging from open fields to pine forests to huge, rocky hills. The scenery is simply beautiful in all four seasons. I highly recommend a family trip to Beaver Creek State Park. The easiest way to get there from North or South Ohio is to take Route 7.
