For 35 years in Oregon this part is the most beautiful. To the reason for my report, the battle was between the army and the indians, and the battle did not occur at this site but about 1/4 of a mile away. It also occurred on Yellow Jacket road about 2miles south of Pilot Rock, Or. There are carved historical records on the Albee road just north of Ukiah, Oregon. The whole area is crisscrossed with scenic byways. A person should spend at least two weeks in the area, everything from hot springs to breathtaking vistas.Any questions or requests for books and info. just e-mail me.

Additional Information
Eastern Oregon - With a relatively small population, this huge region is truly one of the west's last great wide open spaces. Eastern Oregon is a land of high deserts cut by mountain ranges and canyons.
Oregon State Parks - Oregon's State Parks offer beautiful settings for outdoor recreation activities including camping, yurt or cabin stays, hiking, biking, picnicking, fishing boating, wildlife viewing and much more.
