A Monday in August and my first visit to a clothing optional beach. Nicely organized by the Parks folks. Actually and somewhat surprisingly a very pleasant and genteel experience. Not at all uncomfortable - everyone very polite, pleasant and normal - one might have hardly noticed the lack of clothing. Great experience to be able to sunbathe peacefuly and quietly as nature intended. Having tried it myself I have to say to the critics out there don't knock it until you have tried it in good faith. Congrats to the Parks folks for accommodating both the textile and none textile people so admirably. The trails were well established and easy to travel, dry and no bugs! The lower water levels obviously help. Week days seem to be a good time to visit the park.
