The fishing is great and you don't need a boat to catch bass. Stevie D's in Ridgeway makes a great prefishing breakfast that you can eat on the way. It's very convenient and is only a twenty minute drive from my house. Fish on the rocks in the state park. You will usually not be surrounded by hordes of parttime fishermen.

You meet the most friendly people there. So doesn't alot of others you have to call three months ahead to get a spot on the water. Everytime I get some time off from work I go there. The rangers are very nice and help in any way they can.
