I wanted to mention that there is no longer a pool at the Myrtle Beach State Park, and the information should be removed. Due to many problems, it was filled in last year. The Myrtle Beach area is fortunate to have two State Parks nearby. My husband and I purchase yearly passes and get more than our money's worth. Myrtle Beach State Park has a great fishing pier, a small store, lots of shaded picnic tables - and of course the beautiful beach.

Even if crowded, still a great place to go! Parking is ample most of the time-clean outdoor and indoor showers, clean restrooms, great picnic area, clean, clean beach--and naturally beautiful--be sure to visit the castle while you're there--free on right on the beach!
