Sycamore Shoals is a lovely park to walk/run. There is a nice man that feeds the birds and squirrels. They are so tame. Lots of places to sit and watch them. The river is beautiful. You should take a side trip to the town of Elizabethton to see the covered bridge and get a bite to eat. Nice park there as well. Really nice @ Christmas to take a stroll. If you have plenty of time, Roan Mountain is just a little further.
