Have camped at Bastrop several times, recomment Copperas Cove area. Pool is great, v. large, v. deep, but needs to be open longer in the season. Bath facilities are clean, but limited considering size of camping area. Great hiking trails. Close to town for supplies if needed.

Noisy park(from nearby highways)old CCC park thus spots are tight. Nice staff, golfcourse fair(weird layout)do not even think of walking this course. Close to Austin. But traffic noise an issue.
