My wife, son and I went to Mustang Island in July of 2002. When we arrived on the island, we walked the beach and were fortunate enough to see the various species of birds flying the parameter of the island. Also, we got to see stingrays populating the very shallow portions of the shoreline, beating their wings enough that the water moved around us. It was a true experience. We also got to pull our Radio Flyer Wagon with my son in it down the beach while he slept. There were also beautifully colored mini-shells spotting the beach. It was very peaceful. A must for anyone who enjoys solitude and nature.
