We traveled down to Palmetto in November '05 and had a wonderful time. I've wanted to go stay at this park many times but never had the chance, the wooded areas were really beautiful. The park has several activities for children including fishing, paddleboats, and swimming. They had the cleanest restrooms and showers of any state park I've visited.
