Camping at Bear Lake was wonderful. It is a beautiful lake with blue, blue water. The water is cool but in the heat of the afternoon it feels wonderful. There are a lot of people there but it's a big lake so there's plenty of room for all the boats and you can go out in a kayak without feeling like your risking your life among all the motorboats. The best place to camp is near Laketown at Rendezvous Beach State Park in the Big Creek Campground. There are big trees there for shade and the beach is nice and sandy. There's also a little rest stop near there where you could park for free and spend an afternoon. During our stay there was a little storm that blew through a couple of the days about 5-6pm. It came in fast and windy and moved out just as quickly as it came. The best way to go is from Logan, east through Logan Canyon. The canyon is very pretty and the view of the lake is fabulous.
