We have wonderful memories of Flaming Geyser. It's really sad that this former jewel of a park been ruined to serve a small number of people who want to fly model airplanes. There's nothing wrong with model airplanes per se, but why not fly them in an industrial area where the incessant and obnoxious whine wouldn't destroy the enjoyment of other people trying to enjoy a quiet stroll through the meadow in a public park? It's fine if model airplane enthusiasts want to enjoy their hobby, but not in a state park at other's expense! What public officials were paid-off to allow this to happen? This is poor public policy and contradicts the mission of the state parks. Change Flamining Geyser back the way it was!

Not much of a geyser but the park itself is great. There was lots going on at this park. We enjoyed a peaceful picnic lunch on the banks of the Green River. The kids loved the playground (where we saw deer tracks!) and the trails. It was too mucky to check out the Bubbling Geyser this time but we'll be back & give it another shot!
