Beautiful park. The jewel of the state park system. Weather: almost always sunny. Summer: Hot and dry, Winter: if open, cold, often windy. Walking, biking trails connect to city park trails. Trails extend to Ea. Wenatchee, north or City of Wenatchee, south. On site city soccer fields, tennis court, large green areas, wetlands and group camping. Very Well maintained, better than most WA. state parks. Park is an open concept, no bushes dividing sites, trees between sites only about 10 years old. Columbia River views from campground, partial views of Wenatchee River. Boat ramps to Columbia, there is a charge. Located in what used to be called Apple Yard. Surroundings can be noisy during apple picking season. Several apple warehouses and BN located within blocks. A reservation park, it is almost always full on weekends and some weekdays. Locals patronize park extensively and reserve early. Reservations can be made nine months in advance through Camis @ www.parks.wa.gov.or 1.888.226.7688. There is a reservation charge for each site you reserve unless you change sites during your stay. Extra state fee of $1.00 as a 'busy' park fee. Several tent sites most are hookup sites. Wenatchee Valley is an agricultural area, many, many orchards, some grapes and roadside fruit stands abound.

Additional Information
Columbia River Plateau - Throughout the Columbia River Plateau region, you can be as active or sedate as you want at any given moment. If you think of Washington only in terms of the damp forests and cityscapes of Puget Sound, you will be amazed at the sculpted beauty of this high desert land.
Seattle Area -
Washington State Parks - Washington has 149 state parks located around the state.
