Description - Winslow State Park lies within the Kearsarge Mountain State Forest which has a total of 4,965 acres. Visitors to Winslow enjoy hiking and picnicking from mid-May into early November.

- Winslow State Park is located on the northwest slope of Mt. Kearsarge in Wilmot, New Hampshire. The picnic area is on an 1,820-foot plateau with outstanding views of the White Mountains to the north and the taller of the southern and central Vermont peaks. Mt. Sunapee, Ragged Mountain and Pleasant Lake dominate the closer landscape. A 1 mile foot trail leads from the picnic area to the summit of Mt. Kearsarge. The park lies within Kearsarge Mountain State Forest which has a total of 4,965 acres.
Recreation - Visitors to Winslow State Park enjoy hiking and picnicking. Amenities include picnic tables and fire tower. Entrance fee is $2.50, children 11 and under are free. The park is open mid-May through early November. Climate - Winter can be cold with average temperatures ranging around 19 degrees Fahrenheit. The cold temperatures humidity bring heavy, water-laden snow to all parts of the state. Spring begins in mid-March and lasts through May. This time of the year is referred to as mud season in the mountains. The sugar is flowing early in the season and wild flowers bloom toward the end of it. Summer is the busiest season of the year for the tourism industry. This is an excellent time to travel, mountain roads are open and most of the mud has dried. Average summer temperatures range around 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Fall brings the leaf lookers to see the spectacular colors of the deciduous trees.
