Description - This state marine offers access to one of the northeast's most beautiful series of large deep lakes, Canandaigua Lake. The entire area is known for its lush summertime green lands, rich history and year-round recreational opportunities. Canandaigua Lake, the third largest of the chain of Finger Lakes. This state-operated facility offers boat launching and fishing access.
Attractions
- Canandaigua Lake State Marine Park offers access to the third largest of the Finger Lakes chain. The lake is a major tourist attraction with many industry-related businesses surrounding the water. This park's primary purpose is to offer a location for launching a boat giving the user access to excellent fishing.
Recreation - This park land offers boat launching and fishing access to Canandaiqua lake. Keuka Lake State Park is nearby as is Seneca Lake State Park. Climate - The Canandaigua Lake area experiences average January temperatures above 22 degrees Fahrenheit (above -6 degrees Celsius). It is important to note that this area receives some of the heaviest snowfalls in the nation. Summer temperatures average around 72 degrees Fahrenheit (around 22 degrees Celsius). Precipitation in the region ranges from less than 36 inches to approximately 40 inches of rain and snowmelt. Location -
