Description - Canoe-Picnic Point State Park is located on the northeast end of Grindstone Island, facing Eel Bay and the Canadian Channel. The remote location offers a wonderful opportunity for rest and relaxation. The picnic area and cabin sites are available during summer.

- Located on Eel Bay and within sight of the Canadian Channel, Canoe-Picnic State Park is a beautiful spot accessible only by boat. The cabins and picnic area is open through the summer. Waterfowl hunting is permitted in season. Anglers enjoy this location because of the immediately access to excellent fishing waters.
Recreation - Canoe-Picnic State Park offers gorgeous scenery, excellent fishing, hiking, picnicking and cabins. Waterfowl hunting is permitted in season. Access is by boat. No other amenities offered. Climate - This area has a varied climate with average January temperatures ranging from below 14 degrees reaching to 22 degrees Fahrenheit (below -10 to -6 degrees Celsius). Summer temperatures average between 72 degrees and below 68 degrees Fahrenheit (22 to below 20 degrees Celsius). Precipitation in the region ranges from less than 36 to 40 inches of rain and snowmelt. Location -
Canoe-Picnic Point State Park is located on the northeast end of Grindstone Island, facing Eel Bay and the Canadian Channel. Best access is from either Wellesley Island just over the Thousand Islands bridge or from Grass Point State Park on SR 12, 1 mile south of the Thousand Islands Bridge.
