Description
- Lake Warren State Park picnic facilities, a 200-acre lake and a community building are prominent features of this South Carolina state park. This 422-acre park has large tracts of wetlands and woodlands that support a wide range of plant species and wildlife habitats. The park's flat terrain features a flood plain forest with a variety of large trees, including four species of pines.In addition to Lake Warren, the park also includes a 3 acre park lake. The lakes offer fishing for large mouth bass, brim, redbreast, crappie and catfish. The park has a short, 1/3 mile nature trail. There are three boat ramps. Boats are limited to 10 horse power motors
Recreation - Lake Warren State Park offers opportunities for fishing, picnicking, boating and walking the short nature trail. Climate - South Carolina generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Snow and freezing temperatures are possible in the winter at the higher elevations. Thunderstorms are possible throughout the year but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season. Location -
